I am a Postdoctoral fellow at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences working with Prof. Omar Ghattas within the OPTIMUS center, My research interests are in developing computational methods to enable data-informed, risk-based decision making for complex physical systems. In particular, I am interested in developing theory and algorithms in machine learning/data science, computational modeling, optimization, inverse problems, and uncertainty quantification, and applying them to problems of scientific and engineering interest.

I completed my PhD in 2024 in Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics at the Oden Institute under the supervision of Prof. Omar Ghattas and Prof. Peng Chen.

News

Oct 2024 I attended the SIAM Conference on the Mathematics of Data Science in Atlanta, USA! Lianghao and I co-organized a minisymposium, MS5: Scientific Machine Learning for Inference and Control of High-dimensional Systems. I presented our work on derivative-informed neural operators in MS 21: Tackling Intractable Optimization. Thanks to Dr Deepanshu Verma and Dr Elizabeth Newman for the invitation. I also presented a poster, Dimension reduction for derivative-informed operator learning, summarizing our work on approximation and statistical error bounds for learning an operator and its derivatives.
Feb 2024 I attended the SIAM conference on Uncertainty Quantification in Trieste, Italy! I presented our work on the use of derivative-informed neural operators as surrogates for PDE-constrained optimization under uncertainty in MS 151. Thanks to Dr Zachary Morrow and Dr John Jakeman for their invitation!
Jun 2023 I attended the BIRS Workshop on Scientific Machine Learning in Banff, Canada!
